The hotel features a reading room with board games and internet access, a children's play room with toys, a slide and a Play Station, a bar with cosy atmosphere and a wide range of drinks, a sauna with relaxation room, a solarium, a well-priced ski and snowboard rental (with service) and a drying room, where you can dry your clothes and boots after returning from the slopes.

Bad Gastein is an Alpine resort first mentioned in the historical chronicles as early as the 17th century, when the miraculous healing powers of the underground water of the Gastein Valley were discovered. This small holiday resort reached its fullest flower at the end of the 19th century, during the time of the Empress Elisabeth (Sisi). At that time many members of Europe's high society visited Bad Gastein to arrange their thoughts and "clean blood". Nowadays Bad Gastein is still famous for its underground thermal springs and healing radon caves, combined with many opportunities for adventure holidays and almost 200 kilometres of ski runs that make this resort so unique. The closest cities to Bad Gastein are Salzburg (95 kilometres), Munich (250 kilometres), Klagenfurt (130 kilometres) and Innsbruck (180 kilometres).

Surrounded by the beautiful Hohe Tauern mountains, you will find the Hotel Simader in a quiet location close to the centre of Bad Gastein. The Stubnerkogel ski lift is only about 500 metres away, as are the Felsentherme (thermal spa), the town centre and the train station.
